Converging Consciousness: A Plant & Human Co-Creation
A few years ago, a quiet voice reached out, urging me to listen more deeply to the whispers of our Earth. Like a photograph developing in the darkroom, a vision slowly came into focus. Premiering in Fall of 2023, this co-creation came to life, woven together with the talents of 4 inspiring collaborators and the wisdom of 5 plant relatives.

Walking Together
“Walking Together” is a poignant tapestry of diverse voices and experiences. Original music by Catherine Dalton intertwines with prose and poetry by Peter Blue Cloud, Kao Kalia Yang, and Naomi Shihab Nye, all read by community members, creating a powerful bridge between cultures. Witnessing daily life through various lenses, Catherine crafts an intimate musical response, fostering understanding and connection.

Bluets
“Bluets,” inspired by Maggie Nelson’s book of the same name, is an exploration of love, loss, and friendship, woven through the color blue. Supported by a Minnesota State Art Board grant, the project evolved and grew over a several-year period. Thank you to everyone who joined us, donated, and celebrated with us – we can’t wait to see what happens next!
