Bluets

Bluets

Suppose I were to begin by saying that I had fallen in love with a color…

We are so pleased to announce we had a successful showing of “Bluets” on February 28 and March 3 at A-Mill Artist Lofts in Minneapolis! And I am excited to announce I am the recipient of a Minnesota State Art Board Artist Initiative Grant. Our next event will be a Staging Workshop in December 2018 at Red Eye Theater in Minneapolis.

Thank you to everyone that came to see the showing. Thank you also to our donors who will help us continue this project, to those of you who bought unique blue items from the Silent Auction, and to everyone that stayed to share a glass of wine and conversation. We are so gratefull!

“Bluets,” based on MacArthur winnning author, Maggie Nelson’s, book of the same name, takes advantage of Nelson’s at once, intimate, edgy, and profound text, tracing the emotional journey of a woman grappling with the universal experiences of loss, love and friendship – all expressed through various imaginings on the color blue.
