Catherine’s Big Love Fest — and loss, of course, because they are never far apart

Catherine’s Big Love Fest — and loss, of course, because they are never far apart

About The Project

I invite you to contribute to this deeply personal, but also universal exploration of love and loss. This collaborative project seeks to weave together your stories, poems (both original and cherished favorites), audio recordings, video clips, and written reflections into new choral works.

I am calling for your raw and honest expressions of love in all forms — whether it be friendship, romance, love of the earth, animals, or other forms of love — alongside the inevitable shadows of loss that may accompany it.

Your submissions will serve a dual purpose – as a balm for my soul (see the next paragraph) as well as inspiration for the new works. Everything you send will make its way into the compositions, serving as the emotional bedrock and substance of the composition, transforming individual experiences into a collective tapestry that resonates with our shared human journey.

In terms of love and loss, the last couple of years have been tough for me in some ways and filled to the brim with incredible joy in other ways.  I’m on the other side of divorce which brought me to my knees in heart wrenching pain at times, but also offered the opportunity for profound growth. I’ve been dating again after 37 years! And I just became a grandma for the first time. That’s just the human side of love and loss for me. I could go on about my love journey with our earth and with my dog, Joska, and two cats, Roxy and Kyo.

I’ll be blogging about my recent and current journey, as well as sharing your stories, in my newletter as we travel together.

I can’t wait to see what you send me!

P.S. Please narrow down your submissions to 5 max. I know it’s gonna be hard because there is soooo much to share.
